Hello everyone! Long time, no talk! It’s been a couple weeks since I have posted anything on Fictional Living and I just wanted to give you all a life update and to let you know I will be resuming my regular posting schedule soon, I promise.
What can I really say except that life has been pretty hectic lately. At the beginning of this month, my boyfriend and I decided that we are going to go forward with moving up north a couple hours, just outside of Cincinnati.
I know I talked about this a few months ago, but it got delayed. I thought we would be here in Kentucky another year or so, but where we live is so boring. Unless you work in a hospital or plan to wait tables for the rest of your life, you will go nowhere. We have really been dying to go somewhere bigger and better, somewhere that if we do decide to still wait tables, we might actually make decent money. Cincinnati is really going to provide us a place to expand and grow, and hopefully find life long careers we enjoy.
All that being said, we don’t exactly have the money for a move like this. So we have decided to occupy my mother’s basement (which is about twice the size of our current apartment) for a few months to save up and find a place. It seems weird to be almost 25 and moving back in with my mom, but if its going to provide us better opportunities, I’m not going to be too prideful for it!
What this move has meant is that I have been insanely busy, hence why I haven’t posted on here and why I have been seriously slacking on Bookstagram. As of right now, I only have the books I kept at my apartment for the signings I have been to the past two weeks, so pictures aren’t really an option right now.
On top of being in the process of moving and trying to work as much as humanly possible in order to have a chunk of money when we do go up there, I am still in school. It’s all online school, which helps a lot, but I can’t tell you how many Sunday’s I have turned homework in with less than five minutes to spare.
My point is, I am busy.
I hate that this has caused harm to my blog and Bookstagram and my reading life, but what can you do? Life has to take control sometimes.
Basically I want to apologize for being absent and promise you that I will be back soon. We officially finish our move on the 25th, so just over a week away. So hopefully I will be on top of things a little better after that.
I appreciate you all being patient. I’m excited for this new chapter in our lives and I can’t wait to share it with you guys!
