The Sunday Post: The Week that Kicked My Ass

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news- a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books you have received, and share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.

You guys, I’m tired. Like exhausted. I had two papers due this weekend, only one of which I have finished, neither of which will be my best work. Doesn’t it suck having to take classes that have nothing to do with your major? It makes papers so much less enjoyable! And these are the rantings of a tired college student…This Week

  1. I do not miss college and papers!!! I hated writing them, especially for classes I wasn’t interested in. Just remember it’s almost Summer πŸ˜‰ Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads!

  2. That’s an impressive haul, though I guess it’s a shame your book buying ban isn’t working!
Also I can’t wait to see your thoughts on A Court of Thorns and Roses; I really enjoyed this book and am hoping to get started on the second one this week πŸ˜€

    1. Well…I haven’t technically finished it yet, I have like 50 pages left that I will finish after I submit my papers tonight. But I do love it so far!
As for the haul, I only spent 24 dollars on the last eight! And that’s including shipping which was like 8 dollars. Book Outlet had a sale and I couldn’t help myself!

      1. Well hopefully the last 50 pages live up to the rest of the book then πŸ˜€
$24 is impressive for 8 books. I wish I could say the same for all the books I brought, none of them were on sale though so I spent a lot this month πŸ™‚

  3. It looks like you had an awesome (but tiring) week!

I always HATED writing papers for courses that weren’t my major or focus. Although to be honest…those papers? were usually given better grades than the ones I DID write for my major, so…I don’t know how to even explain that one. Fingers crossed you get better grades than you’re expecting!

Also, enjoy your recent acquisitions! I spy a few titles that have been on my own “want to read” list for a while, and others I’ve heard awesome things about! Great haul!

Here’s my Sunday Post, if you’re interested in giving it a look. Regardless, happy book-ing to you!

  4. I just added The Invisible Library to my TBR so I’m looking forward to seeing what people think of it. And I love that the 2nd one isn’t too far away if I’m not mistaken. Nice post on introverts this week!

    1. Yep, I think just a couple of months later. Granted, it was originally published in the UK I believe, so I think we are just now getting it in the states, which would explain why the second would come out so quickly. I do enjoy it so far.

    1. I didn’t even think about getting the audiobook! I’m so picky with them. I started ACOTAR with an audiobook and had to stop. I couldn’t stand the narrator and it was making me hate the book!

      1. Yeah, the narrator is crucial. Some of my favorite books are unendurable in audio. But I don’t usually have any problems with Kristine Hvam (who did Reboot).
