Goodbye April, Hello May

Can you believe we are already reaching the end of April? I was trying to think of a way to summarize the month up but it’s all gone by so fast that I just can’t pull it all together!

But May is going to be a wonderful month, I can feel it. I’m finally kicking some major ass with my bullet journal, I feel real self improvement with it. I also feel like I just might be able to demolish my TBR pile (or put a small dent in it), especially since May will be a book buying ban month for me.

**If I start a new series and don’t have the next book, I don’t count that as breaking my BBB since I will be reading it immediately, not just adding it to my shelves.**

Wrap Up

This month I created a post schedule for my blog (here), joined two new memes (here and here), and started posting author interviews (here and here).

I finished 4 books this month and gave up on 2. The books I did read, I LOVED so much. But like I said, I gave up reading two and I’m kind of okay with that. They are the first books I actually decided not to push through until the end, and I feel like I might use this move more often. I tend to waste time finishing books I’m just not into, but in reality I’m just wasting my time.

The books for this month were amazing, minus the ones I did not finish. I did listen to the audiobook for Lady Midnight and loved it (because it was Morena Baccarin!!). If you haven’t picked up on my love for Victoria Schwab yet, you will certainly see it when I review The Savage Song. I love it so much and I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on it!

March

In case you haven’t heard, May’s BOTM for The Court of Books and Readers is anything you want! More specifically, we are encouraging you to pick up a book that you have been putting off for awhile. As for The Literary Lions, we will be reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and/or A Court of Mist and Fury in celebration of the new release this month!

May TBR:File Apr 30, 5 08 06 PM

  • A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
  • A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
  • This is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
  • The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Lois Lane: Fallout by Gwenda Bond

This seems ambitious right?  I also have some books that I need to review for authors, and I want to read Double Down by Gwenda Bond after Fallout. Fingers crossed I get some serious reading time!
