Tag Tuesday: Burn, Rewrite, Reread

  • Randomly choose 3 books (Tip: Use the “Sort > Random” option on your Goodreads’ Read shelf.).
  • For each group, decide which book to burn, which one to rewrite, and which to reread (a lot like Kiss, Marry, Kill).
  • Repeat until you completed three rounds or five rounds.

Round 1

Burn: Eclipse- I didn’t hate the Twilight books, but it’s by far my least favorite here.

Rewrite: TATBILB- I would love if Laura Jean could be written a little less like a child. It’s one thing to make a character innocent, but I legit thought she was 9 at the beginning of the book.

Reread: Winter- I would reread all of the Lunar Chronicles. They are just amazing.

Round 2

Burn: A Perfect Crime- I hated this book. It made me quit reading for like three months. It was confusing and weird. It can just go away.

Rewrite: Insurgent- I don’t think it was a badly written book, but I hold a lot of contempt due to Allegiant, so Insurgent will have to take the heat for that.

Reread: The Giver- I feel like I’ve reread it a million times. It’s just a good book. A really good book.

Round 3

Burn: The Lost Prince- I love the Iron Fey series, but I couldn’t stand Chase’s POV. He was like, an ass. And even though he was being an ass in order to keep people away from him and keep them safe, he would constantly remind you that he is an ass in order to keep people away from him and keep them safe…annoying.

Rewrite: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief- I had to pick one, but maybe if the kids were just a tiny bit older it would have been nice. I only say that because I was older when I read them.

Reread: The Assassin’s Blade- I will always want to reread anything Throne of Glass. It’s just amazing to me.

I would have liked to do more rounds of this, it was fun, but my Goodreads was being silly! Anyway, I’m not tagging anyone specifically. If you want to do the tag then I deem you tagged!
