Goodbye February, Hello March

Can you believe it’s March already? Time has been lighting speed lately, which can be pretty great when you’re working on a degree. But not so great when you are falling behind on reading because of said degree.

Either way, I still managed to get some reading completed last month, and began some pretty great books I’m taking into this month with me.

Wrap Up

I only managed to read 3 books last month (okay, one I was finishing up from January) which has my Goodreads goal screaming in agony. It’s only March 1st and I am 5 books behind schedule. Yeah, I know, I’m awful. But I’m also a self sustaining college student…so I guess I can still pat myself on the back for independence.

February Reads:Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 preset

  • Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
  • The Siren by Kiera Cass (read with The Court of Books and Readers)
  • To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han (read with The Literary Lions)

I’m in need of catching up on reviews with these three, so have grace. Just know that I liked one, loved one, and just said “meh, okay” to one.

Before I get into March book club reads, I did start two books last month that I am loving. Sadly, I haven’t had much time for reading. So hopefully I will finish those gems this month, as well as the two new books for my book clubs.

I’m really hoping I can finish A Darker Shade of Magic in the next week since I will be going to a book signing for the lovely Victoria Schwab and the bad ass Julie Kagawa.

One final announcement before you venture off into March: The Court of Books and Readers is holding a giveaway on our Instagram account (@thecourtofbooksandreaders). It isn’t posted yet, so you have a head start to keep a look out for it!Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 preset

The winner (US only) will receive a signed copy of Stars Above by Marissa Meyer, a paperback edition of Illuminae by Amiee Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, and a Hermoine Pop Vinyl figure.

We will also have an international winner for $15 AUD to Book Depository. So keep an eye out tonight or tomorrow!

  1. I NEED to read The Siren already! I absolutely loved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, but was slightly disappointed with the sequel, just because I had really high expectations. ME BEFORE YOU WAS AMAZING, I HOPE YOU LOVE IT OHMYGAWRD

    1. I don’t even plan to read the sequel! I think it was just fine with one book. But yes. I loved The Siren!! and I have a feeling Me Before You is going to DESTROY ME!
